If you want to set up your own Arma 3 Life server, you will need the following things:

  • An Arma 3 server with the latest version of the game installed.

  • The Arma 3 Life server files, which contain the mod files, the mission files, the database files, and the configuration files.

  • A MySQL database server to store the data of your server.

  • A web server to host the web panel of your server.

  • A domain name and a SSL certificate to secure your web panel.

In this article, we will guide you through the steps of setting up your own Arma 3 Life server using the AsYetUntitled framework, which is an open-source and updated version of the original Arma 3 Life mod by TAW_Tonic. We will also show you how to customize your server settings and add new features to your server.

Step 1: Downloading and Installing the Arma 3 Life Server Files

The first step is to download and install the Arma 3 Life server files on your Arma 3 server. You can find the latest release of the AsYetUntitled framework on GitHub. You will need to download two files: the Altis_Life.Altis.pbo file and the life_server.pbo file. These are the main files that contain the mod and mission data of your server.

To install the Arma 3 Life server files, follow these steps:

  • Create a folder in your Arma 3 server directory called @life_server.

  • Inside the @life_server folder, create another folder called addons.

  • Copy the life_server.pbo file into the addons folder.

  • Create another folder in your Arma 3 server directory called mpmissions.

  • Copy the Altis_Life.Altis.pbo file into the mpmissions folder.

  • Edit your server.cfg file and add the following line: -mod=@life_server;

  • Edit your basic.cfg file and change the template line to: template = Altis_Life.Altis;

Congratulations, you have successfully installed the Arma 3 Life server files on your Arma 3 server. You can now start your server and join it as a player. However, before you do that, you will need to set up your MySQL database and web panel for your server.

Step 2: Setting Up Your MySQL Database and Web Panel

The second step is to set up your MySQL database and web panel for your Arma 3 Life server. The MySQL database is where all the data of your server is stored, such as player profiles, inventory items, vehicles, houses, gangs, etc. The web panel is where you can manage your server settings, view logs, ban players, etc.

To set up your MySQL database and web panel, follow these steps:

  • Create a new database on your MySQL server and name it altislife or anything else you prefer.

  • Import the altislife.sql file into your database. This file contains the tables and structures of your database. You can find this file in the GitHub repository or in this link.

  • Edit the extdb-conf.ini file in your @life_server/addons/life_server folder. This file contains the connection settings of your database. Change the IP, Port, Username, Password, and Database fields according to your MySQL server details.

  • Download the web panel files from this link and upload them to your web server. This is a simple and easy-to-use web panel for Arma 3 Life servers made by @imthatguyhere.

  • Edit the config.php file in your web panel folder. This file contains the connection settings of your web panel. Change the DB_HOST, DB_USER, DB_PASS, and DB_NAME fields according to your MySQL server details.

  • Point your domain name to your web server IP and install a SSL certificate to secure your web panel. You can use a free service like Let's Encrypt to get a SSL certificate.

Congratulations, you have successfully set up your MySQL database and web panel for your Arma 3 Life server. You can now access your web panel by visiting your domain name in your browser. You can also log in as an admin using the default username and password: admin / admin.
